"MINNESOTA SUNRISE"

Road out of town
Ahead of traffic
Quiet and alone.

Nothing to block
The view.

Dawn breaks,
Floods the foreground
With  promise.

 "HIGH POINT"

Thirty  years
In the making.
Drove this road a
Thousand times.
Camera at the house.
Bringing the camera was
Assurance
There would be no light.

Took an IPhone
To get it done.

"WILLOW"

Past her prime, she is.
Limbs falling to
Harsh winds.
Still she branches out
Each spring.
Leaves blowing in the
Summer breeze.

Now not the beauty
Of once upon a time,
She is home to
The pileated,
The flying squirrel,
and any orphan
That passes by.

"THE GATHERING"

Yet again
The clouds roll.
Darker still this time.
Last glimpse given
Of sunlight this day.

Hours passing,
Late in the day.
All below here is watered.
Crops replenished,
Brooks overflowing,
Birds bathing in puddles.
After the storm.
All drama ends.
Life goes on.

"KANSAS TROUBLES"

Not having to go far
To witness mayhem.
Loving every minute
Of the storm.
Gathering reference
While dodging
Hailstones.
Realizing what I've
Become.......
Stormchaser!

"HOMAGE"

Lost in the storm,
One white cloud
With Attitude.
Letting me know
That there are
Safer places
Than this field.

Safer Spots,
But not
As exciting!!!
"LAST OUTPOST"

Nothing beyond,
That he can see.
Miles of flat land,
Empty fields he tells me.

Looking out, I see
Wildflowers,
Butterflies and bees,
Sparrows taking a
Dust bath.
All in how you
Look at it.
